Do you need reservations to enter the park on January 3

Hi there, Janet!  You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!

The new year is bringing about some exciting changes at Walt Disney World Resort!  Soon it will be even easier to plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth.  Dining plans will be making their return to Walt Disney World Resort, as will all-day Park Hopper benefits.  Also, Guests using standard date-based theme park tickets will no longer need to make theme park reservations.  The magic date for all of these new policies to go into effect is January 9, 2024.  If you are visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks before January 9, 2024, you will still need to make a theme park reservation.

Even though your Walt Disney World Resort visit takes place before these new policies go into effect, there's still plenty to be excited about.  EPCOT in particular has seen a lot of recent updates that you'll want to check out during your upcoming trip.  Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is a gorgeous new walk-through attraction that you should be sure to experience during your visit.  As you explore the trail, be on the lookout for some familiar characters carved in the rock formations.  You'll also want to visit the "Walt the Dreamer" statue in the new World Celebration Gardens at EPCOT.  You can imagine alongside Walt as you take in the beauty of this recently renovated area of the park.  The brand new nighttime spectacular, Luminous The Symphony of Us would be the perfect ending to your day at EPCOT.

Janet, if you have any other questions as you get ready to travel, please don't hesitate to ask.  My fellow planDisney panelists and I are all ears!  See ya real soon!
