Boardwalk Resort Pool

    I have a trip planned for early July. We are staying at Boardwalk. What are the chances our standard view room (not a villa) will be renovated? Also will the Cake Bake Shop be open this year? Thank you!

    Thanks for stopping by to chat about one of my favorite areas in Walt Disney World. My family and I are Disney Vacation Club members and frequently stay at Disney's BoardWalk Villas. During a recent trip, we enjoyed several new resort offerings, my favorite being Carousel Coffee. Pro tip: this java joint opens half an hour earlier than BoardWalk Deli, so if you're an early riser, this is the spot for you!

    I'm happy to report that renovations on all standard rooms at the BoardWalk Inn side of the resort are complete; you'll have an updated room for your summer vacation! The resort-wide refurbishment is ongoing, so you might notice some construction along Disney's BoardWalk and the villa section. The Disney Parks Blog and Walt Disney World website report a 2024 opening date for The Cake Bake Shop® Restaurant and The Cake Bake Shop® Bakery, but we still don't have an exact timeline. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more information, and I'll keep my fingers crossed they debut in time for your arrival this July. I can't wait to experience the tasty and beautiful treats here later this year!
