All aboard! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Anthony. Your
Walt Disney World Resort visit is coming full speed ahead, so let's look at transportation options during your trip.
Walt Disney loved locomotives, and
Monorail Transportation was a project of love for him. He called it the "public transport of the future." When I ride those efficient and streamlined trains, I always think of Walt and how thrilled he would be that they're still going strong on both coasts.
You'll be happy to know that
Resort Transportation is
available to all guests, so you are welcome to ride the monorail, buses, boats, and the newest mode of transportation, the Disney Skyliner.
Since you're staying near
Disney Springs, you have a few options for getting to the monorail line. First, check with your hotel concierge to see if they offer a shuttle service to
Magic Kingdom Park. Once you go through security, look for the Resort Monorail entrance. This line runs in a loop and stops at Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC), Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
If you're enjoying some time shopping or eating at Disney Springs, you can catch a bus from there to any resort on the monorail line. And my final suggestion is to take a rideshare service such as Lyft to the TTC where you can board the monorail.
I recently rode the monorail from Magic Kingdom Park to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to meet a friend for dinner. We watched
Happily Ever After from the marina, and I was delighted to find they played the soundtrack along with the fireworks. It was magical!
Anthony, I hope your visit stays on track! I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time, and be sure to think of Walt when you board the trains. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
