Hi Sabrina, and welcome to planDisney!
I’m so sorry to hear that your plans have changed and that you need to cancel your tickets. I completely understand how disappointing that can be, especially when you're looking forward to a special visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. While this isn’t the news you were hoping for, I’m happy to share a few options that might bring a little extra magic to your day.
As you mentioned,
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are non-refundable. However, there’s a silver lining! Most standard tickets are valid for a generous 16-month window from the date of purchase, giving you time to reschedule when the moment feels right. To confirm the exact expiration date, I recommend checking your original confirmation email. You can also locate ticket details in the
Disneyland app by tapping the ☰ (hamburger icon) in the lower right corner, then selecting "Tickets and Passes."
And here’s some good news: if your plans shift again in the future, you can apply the value of a wholly unused and unexpired Disneyland ticket toward a new one of equal or greater value. You also have the option to upgrade an existing ticket to a Park Hopper if you're dreaming of even more adventure. Flexibility like that can really come in handy!
If you’d like personalized help with any of these options, I recommend calling the
Tickets line, where a friendly Cast Member will be happy to explore the best path forward with you.
When you’re ready to return, there’s so much to look forward to. Be sure to check out the
2025 Disneyland Resort Event Calendar on the
Disney Parks Blog. From Halloweentime fun to the festive sparkle of the Holidays, the magic continues all year long and your next visit could be just around the corner.
I hope this information brings some clarity and a bit of hope for future magic, Sabrina. Please don’t hesitate to reach out again if you have any more questions or need help planning your next adventure.
Wishing you a day filled with kindness, comfort, and a touch of pixie dust,
David
