    I am traveling with 1 smoker for the summer. We understand there is no smoking on campus but he is a cigarette smoker and would need to carry a lighter. Will he be able to pass through the security point with everything and then leace to smoke?

    Thanks for visiting planDisney! With your summer trip on the horizon, I’m delighted to help you prepare for a truly magical visit to the Disneyland Resort. There’s nothing quite like strolling down Main Street, with the scent of churros in the air and Sleeping Beauty Castle shimmering in the distance!

    I took a look at the Disneyland Resort Rules, as well as the list of permitted items, and lighters are not listed as a prohibited item. However, safety is always a top priority, and Disney Parks reserve the right to restrict the use of any item, whether listed or not, if a Cast Member determines it to be harmful or disruptive. This policy helps ensure that every guest has a safe and enjoyable experience.

    That being said, I do want to remind you that smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the theme parks, hotels, the Esplanade between the parks, or Downtown Disney. If your fellow guest wishes to take a smoke break, they will need to step off Disneyland Resort property to do so. The good news? Once they’re finished, they can return to the parks to continue enjoying the magic. Just be sure to keep their ticket handy so re-entry is smooth and easy!

    Jessica, did you know that this year marks Disneyland’s 70th anniversary? It’s an especially enchanting time to visit, with special celebrations planned throughout the year! Beginning May 16, beloved nighttime spectaculars like Wondrous Journeys and Paint the Night will return, bringing dazzling lights and breathtaking moments back to the parks. And with the debut of World of Color – One: Happy, there will be even more unforgettable entertainment to experience.
