Hello there Jonathan, welcome to planDisney! We're so glad you're here!
In most cases, wholly unused Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets are able to be transferred to another Guest. Your friend can add these to their account in the
Disneyland app by opening up the app and navigating to the three horizontal bar line in the bottom right-hand corner, and then tapping "My Tickets & Passes." Then tap "Link Tickets & Passes," and they can scan your ticket barcode or type in the number manually. If any of the days of the theme park ticket has been used, you will not be able to transfer the ticket.
There are some special ticket types such as discounted military tickets that do require a government-issued photo ID to be shown during the first use, so I would double check the terms and conditions of your specific tickets to ensure that they would be able to be used by someone other than yourself. Your friend will also need to make sure they make a
theme park reservation for each day that they'd like to visit either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.
Prior to their visit, I highly recommend exploring the
Disney Parks Blog to read up on all of the exciting events and happenings taking place during their trip such as the
Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary!
I hope this information was helpful for you Jonathan, and you're able to generously gift your tickets to a friend! If we can help with any other questions,
please come back and ask.
Have a magical day!
Melissa
