Hello there, Mary! I think it is practically perfect that you brought your question to us here at planDisney, and I’m happy to welcome you! Let’s reach into my never-ending purse of words and get you an answer quickly, because I see your hopeful visit date is right around the corner!
Mary, I’m glad you’re a
Magic Key Pass Holder! I am too, and I love being able to hold multiple reservations at once. It makes planning so much easier! Now for the part where I wish I could bibbidi bobbidi boo this into better news.
Per the terms and conditions, if you are under a penalty on your Magic Key pass, you won’t be able to visit using that pass until after your penalty period ends. That includes using any Magic Key perks like parking and discounts.
When we make park reservations, we have to cancel by 11:59 PM the day before to avoid a no-show counting against our pass. Unfortunately, Magic Key holders who “no-show” three reservations within a 90-day window are placed into penalty status, and then you can’t make or modify park reservations for 30 days. Since Disneyland Resort
requires a valid theme park reservation to enter, you won’t be able to visit on Monday, May 11, 2026 using your Magic Key, even if the date shows as open, because your penalty has not ended.
If you really want to go that day, you can still visit by purchasing a separate
one-day ticket and not using your Magic Key at all for entry.
Mary, I know that’s a bummer candle to blow out, but the good news is you’re getting close to your penalty end date! And going forward, you’ve got the key tip to keep your plans sparkling: cancel by 11:59 PM the day before when something comes up!
I hope this helps, and I hope you’re back to experiencing the magic at the Happiest Place on Earth very soon!
See you real soon!
Kimberly
