Hi Susan! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
It sounds like you're already making your plans for your upcoming visit. That's great! I'm a planner too, and I always like to have my details straight.
Park capacity means no one can enter until the park is no longer at capacity. That won't change. Regardless of whether or not you have a
Park Hopper ticket,
Magic Key, or even a one-park-per-day ticket and a
theme park reservation, you'll need to wait to enter if your park is at capacity. So, if both parks are at capacity and you leave, you won't be able to enter until one of the parks has room again.
But don't fret! Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure very rarely reach capacity. When they do, it tends to be on the most popular days of the year, such as New Year's Eve. I don't see why your upcoming visit would be affected by park capacity. I wouldn't worry, Susan!
Instead, I would start planning for fun. Make use of the
Daily Events Calendar, which has helpful scheduling information for parades, fireworks, refurbishments, and entertainment. While these details can change, it's a great place to start sketching out the must-do activities that you'd like to plan around. If there are any last-minute
dining reservations you'd like to make, grab those as soon as you can. Availability isn't guaranteed, but it's a great way to enjoy a good meal, fun theming, and an opportunity to rest your feet and catch up with your group.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
