Hey Lakiesha,
Welcome to planDisney! Bringing your furry friend along on your Walt Disney World vacation sounds so sweet. After all, Rover deserves a magical vacation, too. Disney World does have several
dog-friendly options for guests traveling with their best furry friends:
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort,
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside,
Disney’s Yacht Club, T
he Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. A maximum of up to 2 dogs per guest room are allowed, and all dogs are expected to be well-behaved, leashed in public areas and properly vaccinated. Whether you’re a family of 2 or 5, you can stay at either of these resorts together in one guest room as each resort can accommodate 5 guests comfortably – just be sure to request a 5th sleeper room when you book and include your full party on your reservation. The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will be the most cost-effective option per night from this list, but keep in mind you’d need to bring a tent or an RV to stay in. Each of these resorts will have a per night pet fee in addition to your nightly rate.
Lakiesha, I love that you’re bringing your pup with you to Disney World, but keep in mind that they will not be allowed in the theme parks unless they’re a service animal. If your good buddy doesn’t like to hang out alone in your room, consider the
Best Friends Pet Care service. This service offers peace of mind to Guests at Walt Disney World Resort who are traveling with pets. The facility offers your furry friend plenty of space to play and a comfy space to relax.
Lakiesha, I hope this information is helpful. If you have additional questions about your upcoming visit, come on back and see us here at planDisney. Until then, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
