Welcome to planDisney! I get it, sometimes you only have a limited amount of time to enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World. My family and I are actually planning a 1-day visit this Christmas and while I’m sad I won’t get to spend a full week there like we did this past spring, I know that one day is better than zero days, so I’ll take it. Unfortunately, you will not be able to purchase a 1-day park ticket from Europe.
Ticket denominations are only available from 2-10 days.
While I know that’s not the news you were hoping to hear, I do have an alternative suggestion: Wait until you arrive in the U.S. Once you arrive stateside, the option to purchase a 1-day ticket will be available to you on the
Disney World Website. Now, Timea I do need to let you know the risks here. Park tickets can sell out during peak times. You’re planning to visit in early February which isn’t traditionally a peak time to visit, so I do think you’re safe but I still need to inform you of the sell-out risk involved.
While you’re planning your one-day adventure, give some thought to whether you’ll want a focused visit in one park or a multi-park adventure. Disney offers the
Park Hopper ticket, which allows you to visit multiple parks per day while the standard ticket allows you to visit one park per day. My vote is for the standard one park ticket if you’ve never been to Disney World before. You won’t have enough time in one day to see all there is to see on a first visit, and keeping your time contained to one park will make your visit feel less chaotic. If you’re a pro and have visited before, Park Hopper tickets will be easier for you to manage – you’ll know exactly what you want to do in the parks you plan to visit and can strategize accordingly. My family and I have done a 2-day Park Hopper in the past and I'll admit that we didn't even have time in 2 days to visit all 4 parks. We made it to 3 parks during that visit, despite our efforts to see/do something in each park. I remember wishing we had more time in a day. Traveling between parks takes some time, so keep that in mind.
