Do you have any tips from panelists without children on how to experience attractions generally aimed for young kids without feeling weird?

It's so great to see you here today at planDisney, Carlye! Your question really spoke to me because, as a Panelist without children, I'm at Walt Disney World Resort all the time enjoying adults-only vacations with my husband and my friends. I never feel out of place, or like I'm too old to be enjoying attractions, and I'm happy to share my tips for getting the most out of your vacation when you're grown up but still a kid at heart.

Walt Disney himself said that "adults are only kids grown up," and I definitely try to adopt that state of mind when I'm at The Most Magical Place On Earth. Everywhere you look, you'll see couples on their honeymoon, a group of women celebrating a milestone birthday on a girls' trip, and young adults enjoying themselves, so you certainly won't be the only person there without children in tow! Walt Disney World Resort is for everyone, and you should know that you're as welcome as can be. If your dream vacation involves riding The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh or meeting as many Disney Princesses as you can, I highly encourage you to do just that. There's nothing to feel weird about, and no one around you will even give it a second thought that there are adults around celebrating their inner child and having a great time doing it. My best advice is to embrace it and give yourself fully to the magic of the experience!

You should also take this time to enjoy some of the things that are set up for adults at Walt Disney World! The highlight of every vacation for me is some amazing specialty cocktails, exciting food, and great conversation in a gorgeous lounge. I recommend checking out Nomad Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Enchanted Rose at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Steakhouse 71 Lounge at Disney's Contemporary Resort. You should also make time to enjoy some dining at beautiful restaurants like Flying Fish, Narcoossee's, or California Grill! There's no better way to cap off a day at the Theme Parks than catching a nighttime spectacular from a beautiful restaurant.

I hope this answers your question, Carlye, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!

In fact, we even opted out of a tropical honeymoon to spend a blissful week at Walt Disney World Resort instead! I'm thrilled to be on the planDisney Panel and I'm excited to share everything I've learned from all of our trips and help you plan a memorable family vacation.  Learn More About Jessica
