DD’s bf is going to secretly be at MK to propose when we are there. She thinks just family is going so she’ll be on our reservation b/c she is very savvy with the app. Can we move her to his reservation after he proposes?

Why hey there Kristin and welcome to planDisney!

From the sounds of it, you're involved in a secret proposal plot and I couldn't be more thrilled for all of you! (I hope that I'm correct in assuming "DD" refers to your "Dear Daughter" just to make it clear for our international readers out there who may not be as familiar with more time-tested internet lingo.) Having been both a sneaky surprise proposal planner myself before eventually becoming a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding groom, I can only imagine all of the logistics you've all been pulling off to make this Walt Disney World Resort engagement happen!

Now for most folks, modifying your reservations is as simple as accessing My Disney Experience online or on the mobile app but in this case you likely don't want her to find out as she'll very quickly be able to realize at a glance the moment she's linked or added onto another Resort Hotel Reservation. I spoke with a Disney Reservations Cast Member who advised that the best course of action is for your daughter's new fiancé to head to the Front Desk only after popping the question in order to have it sorted out with the Cast Members directly. While this may apply specifically for the remainder of her stay, similar modifications will need to be made if he wants to ensure that she's linked to other things like Dining Reservations or Enchanting Extras. Now note that if she's as clever and savvy as you say, just make sure that she doesn't have access to her boyfriend's My Disney Experience account nor able to see confirmations that come in to his email or phone, just so she doesn't catch on too early!

This occasion would be an excellent opportunity to make sure to pick up special celebration buttons from the Cast Members at Guest Relations, or even take a venue tour at Disney's Wedding Pavilion just for that added romantic touch - you may even be lucky enough to be able to browse the beautiful wedding inspiration found within Franck's Studio at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa just to kick start the planning process. We did this almost immediately after my surprise proposal moment and already began dreaming about our Disney Fairy Tale Wedding while we were still glowing with that post-engagement bliss, and enjoying the stories of other Disney couples on the Ever After Blog, Disney Wedding Podcast and online communities for DisBrides and Grooms as we started planning and saving for our big day. (This included deciding whether we wanted it closer to home or at a Walt Disney World Resort location, which ended up being right at the same place my husband popped the question!) Don't hesitate to come back to planDisney again for any Disney Wedding or Engagement tips or tricks before your Top-Secret Operation: Secret Engagement commences!

Here's to a perfect surprise proposal surrounded by family at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
