Welcome, Carol!
Thank you for bringing your critical question to planDisney in advance of your trip next year. Most importantly, please know that comfort and safety is top of mind for all Guests as you explore the sprawling property and enjoy all four theme parks. As the only woman in a house of boys, my family likes to give me a hard time in the theme parks for the number of times I take a quick break throughout the day. I’m happy to share all the advice I can with you regarding the bare necessities around the
Walt Disney World Resort to put your mind at ease.
Yes, absolutely, 100%!
There are many restrooms located throughout the theme parks, they truly seem to be just around the riverbend in each themed area as we enjoy the day. I counted 31 different restroom facilities listed for
Magic Kingdom Park, which does not include those additional facilities located inside a table service restaurant. You’ll find that restrooms at the Walt Disney World Resort are not just plentiful, but they are also fun and stylized. Every facility has a different theme to match the area of a park you’re in; it’s kindof fun to try them all and find an environment you enjoy visiting. The Cast Members serving in these areas are also very special – please don't hesitate to ask them for a park map or key information as you engage with them on your way out, they are always so kind and helpful for my family!
Companion restrooms are also available and changing stations for little ones are plentiful.
Each theme park also has a Baby Care Center which not only has bathrooms but additional comfort spaces for activities or needs that you may traditionally have had to use a restroom for to support a little one or family member requiring care. These centers have rocking chairs, private areas, a small kitchen for tending to bottles, and so much more. If you need a more accessible restroom for an adult requiring care, you may always visit
First Aid as well for generous facilities and support.
No matter the season during your visit, it’s critical to stay hydrated during a busy theme park day. Common essentials for my park bag include little travel packets of electrolyte and vitamin powder for my water; these are a popular product for sports and come in a variety of flavors to suit your family. I like to start the day with one in my water bottle and add another throughout the day with complimentary refills of ice water at every quick service dining location. With so much hydration and activity, frequent detours to the nearby restrooms are a sign that we’re all staying healthy among all the fun!
When using the
My Disney Experience App during your vacation, you can find the nearest facility on the handy map feature. Click the location icon on the bottom tray, and then filter the list at the top for your current theme park and select “Restrooms” from the central drop-down list. From there you can navigate on the visual map or see a list of locations. As always, you can ask the nearest Cast Member for support or guidance, and they will gladly direct you.
I hope this information puts your mind at ease and comforts you to know that there is a restroom whenever you need it at the Walt Disney World Resort! Please come back and see us anytime, we love to help with any aspect of your special vacation.
Wishing you a magical visit,
Amy
