Hey there, Angela, and welcome to planDisney!
You’ve come to the right place to ask about park hopping. This Florida gal and so many of my planDisney pals absolutely love to get the most out of our vacations by visiting more than one theme park in one day. If you want to see Cinderella Castle in the early hours at Magic Kingdom and then explore the great outdoors at Animal Kingdom, it’s possible because of the magic of park hopping.
In order to park hop from one theme park to another, you need a valid admission ticket or annual pass with a
Park Hopper Option. As long as the theme park that you’d like to jump over to isn’t at capacity (this rarely happens), you can start your journey as soon as you scan into the first reserved theme park.
The key here is to tap into the magic at the entrance of the theme park that your day was booked for. For example, as an
Annual Passholder with an undated ticket, I have to make a
theme park reservation online (unless it’s a “Good to Go” day, which doesn’t require one). After checking in to the first theme park, in theory, you could about face and immediately leave to visit the next park and the next…and the next. However, of course, I highly recommend doing as many activities and eating all the Mickey-shaped things before moving on to the next destination. Best of all, you do not need to pre-select which theme park that you’d like to head to.
As you can see, park hopping at Disney World is definitely the way to go when you want to see it all in one visit. I’m really excited for you, Angela! I think that you’re going to have the best time. And don’t miss out on the
EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, which has just started! The blooming flowers and plants galore are sights that will be hard to forget. Until then, if you have any additional questions about your Disney Parks visit,
reach out to us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
