Typically, the security checkpoint serving the
Disney California Adventure entrance from
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa opens around 7:00 a.m. each day. Operating times can occasionally vary based on resort needs or special events, so I recommend checking the
Daily Events Schedule on the Disneyland website as your visit approaches.
Just as important as the opening time is who may use this entrance. At this time, the entrance is reserved for Guests staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels (Disney's Grand Californian Hotel,
Disneyland Hotel, or
Pixar Place Hotel) who also have a valid theme park ticket and park reservation for that day. Cast Members may ask to see your hotel room key or other proof of hotel stay, particularly during the busy morning arrival period.
If you're staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, this entrance can be a fantastic convenience. Not only does it place you just steps away from Disney California Adventure, but it can also make for a smoother start to your morning. Whether you're heading straight for Radiator Springs Racers, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, or my family's favorite morning adrenaline rush aboard Incredicoaster, having a shorter walk into the park is a wonderful perk.
