Teresa,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is such a fun time! Many of us on the panel are going together later this fall, and between the surprise reveals of Disney-inspired costumes and planning for where we want to perch to watch the parade, I think we may be spending more time planning than the actual party will last!
You will be glad to hear that if you are already in the Magic Kingdom during the day and also attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you do not have to leave and re-enter the park just to get your wristband. You also don't even have to go back to the front of the park to Guest Services to get a band. There are stations strategically located around the park where you can quickly get your party wristband without leaving the magic. You can even do it before 4 p.m. Cast members should have no problem directing you to the nearest one. I am not going until October, but friends who have attended this year said that they saw wristband stations at
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor,
Tortuga Tavern, and
Fantasy Faire.
Because you will already be in the park, I would highly recommend you go to one of these stations in the park in the early afternoon, even before 4 pm time when guests can start to enter the park with their party tickets. Lines for these stations are filled by others in your same shoes, including park hoppers, and can start to grow as that magical hour approaches. The last thing you want to do is start your spooky evening off by waiting in line just go get your wristband.
BONUS TIP #1At these sign-in stations, you will also get an event map, and your treat bag!
BONUS TIP #2Check out the Disney Parks Blog for more on some of the fun that is in store for you at the Halloween Party. They even have a post with some great
costume planning tips from the planDisney crew.
BONUS TIP #3Many Halloween Party guests love their costumes but forget that they are in Orlando at a time when it is warmer than the Fall temperatures they may enjoy back home. Choose a costume that gives you and your family some layers that can be removed if the heat and humidity rise more than expected.
