Hello Lizette,
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney today! I'm sorry to hear that your plans did not work out for you at your originally intended time. We call that a Bibbidi Bobbidi Bummer! However, I'd be happy to help with your theme park ticket question, so you can just postpone the magic... and enjoy the parks at a future time!
You are correct that Disney theme park tickets are not refundable. But they do try to be flexible and allow guests to modify unused date-based tickets to a different date. It sounds like you wish to change you ticket for use in 2026? At this time, Disney World has not yet released vacation packages or tickets for next year. However, as soon as those dates are released (which could be any time between now and this summer)... you will be able to modify your ticket to a 2026 date.
If your ticket is not yet expired, you may be able to change it yourself on the
My Disney Experience website. You will first need to log in (or create) a My Disney account and link your ticket. Then scroll down to "My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets" section, and select the tab "Tickets, Passes, and Memory Maker" (little blue words). All Theme Park tickets eligible for modification will show a Change Ticket link in blue. Once selected, please check the box for the ticket you wish to modify, and look on the right-hand side to change the different ticket components. This can include the Valid Ticket Dates, Number of Days, or Ticket Type. After making your selections, you will see your new ticket total (prices vary based on date) and pay the remaining balance to complete your change.
If it's easier to have someone assist you with the change, or this method does not work for you, just contact
Disney Reservation and Tickets line and a Cast Member will be happy to help.
I certainly hope you get another opportunity to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth, Lizette! Please
visit me again at planDisney if I can help with any other questions.
Adventure is out there!
