Hi Amy!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I can only imagine the amazing memories you’ve made with your granddaughter at Disney World over the years. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you can add
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to the fun during your trip later this year.
Whenever there’s a hard-to-get reservation I have my heart set on, there are some things I’ve found that help me out. Let’s chat about them!
If you’re staying at a Disney World resort, you’ll be able to make advanced dining and Enchanting Extra reservations for your entire trip beginning 60 days prior to your check-in date. I recommend trying to book Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique toward the end of your trip to give yourself the best chance at snagging a reservation.
In addition to that, in my experience, the booking window for
Enchanting Extras can sometimes open as early as 12 AM Eastern. While it's not guaranteed that it will open that early, I always like to go onto My Disney Experience and check for any availability at that time.
If you find that there’s no availability, check back often, especially as your trip gets closer. Sometimes people will cancel their reservations, leaving an opening for you! As a last-ditch effort, you can always try to see if there are any walk-up appointments available on your park day. Although they’re not guaranteed, stop by Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique as soon as it opens for the day to see if there happens to be a spot.
In the case that another trip goes by without a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation, there are a couple of fun experiences your granddaughter might love. These experiences are subject to change, but you check in with a Cast Member for up-to-date information during your trip.
First of all, she can get “pixie dusted” for free at
Sir Mickey’s located behind Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom. A Cast Member will add a sprinkle of glitter to her hair while she makes a wish.
Then, if she wants to do a princess-inspired photo shoot, there’s a sweet
PhotoPass spot at the
Grand Floridian just a short walk or Monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom. It’s located on the second floor of the lobby area and even includes pictures with Cinderella’s glass slipper. The photos taken at that spot are included in
Memory Maker if you’ve purchased that for your trip. While you’re at the Grand Floridian, you can even dine with Cinderella herself at
1900 Park Fare. Advanced reservations for this restaurant are highly recommended.
I hope that helps and your granddaughter gets the princess makeover she’s been dreaming of! Let us know if you have any other questions!
