Chris from UT Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We will be staying on property and have an EV. We will not be staying at a resort that has EV charging on site (Port Orleans Riverside). Can we use the EV charger at another resort hotel?

Greetings, Chris, and welcome to planDisney! Your trip is just a few weeks away, and it's time for the countdown to begin. Thank you for being a friend to the environment by driving an electric vehicle. You've come to the right place because I have ideas for you to keep your vehicle powered up so you don't get yourself in a conundrum.

Parking at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is exclusive to guests with hotel, dining or recreation reservations at that specific hotel for the duration of their reservation only. If you have one of these reservations at a hotel with an EV charger, you can use it while you're visiting for your reservation, pending availability, of course. If you don't have one of these reservations, unfortunately you won't be able to park at a different resort from the one you're staying at.

I know this probably isn't the answer you were hoping for, but that doesn't mean you're out of luck. My planDisney pal, Scott, is also an EV owner, and he put together this information on where all the EV chargers are located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, the costs and the types of plugs. I hope you'll be happy to know that chargers are available at all four Disney Theme Parks and Disney Springs. Since you're staying at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort, which is a hotel within the Disney Resorts Collection, you'll enjoy free parking at each of the theme parks if you choose to use one of the chargers there.

Chris, I'm wishing upon a star that you have a fantastic vacation. Please visit us again with any other planning questions.

    Let your dreams guide you!
