Hi Fidelma,
Welcome to planDisney! The transportation options at Disney World are fabulous and make it so easy to get from place to place without having to worry about a thing. Most forms of transportation at Disney World feel like you are jumping on an attraction before you ever make it to the theme parks. I love taking a cruise on the Disney Skyliner on each visit, so check it out if you have time. Disney transportation is also a great way to check out some of the fun Disney Resort hotels, even if you are not staying in them. During the holidays, they are all decked out in decorations, so they are even more magical than usual.
Bus transportation will run between Disney Springs and all of the Disney Resort hotels during Disney Springs' operating hours. They do not ask for any identification or check to see that you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel before you board transportation. All you need to do is jump in the line and hop on the bus to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. You will need to make sure you know when Disney Springs closes and ensure that you are on the bus before then.
While you are wandering around at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, make sure to enjoy all of the fun holiday splendor. The gingerbread house is already up and serving some fantastic treats that are worth grabbing. Take a picture in front of the huge Christmas tree and explore the beautiful grounds! I also love to stop by the
Enchanted Rose lounge at this Resort hotel for a fun appetizer and drink. The Artisinal Cheese Selection and the House-made Truffle Fries are my favorite snacks here and the beauty of this place is that there is no reservation needed.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
