Hey there, Tashia! We’re so glad you cruised by planDisney with your question!
A land and sea Disney vacation is the ultimate trip! There’s nothing better than sailing away on Disney Cruise Line and then easing back into the magic of Walt Disney World Resort, and it’s the perfect way to cure those post-cruise blues.
To answer your question, yes, you can absolutely keep the same
Disney Resort Hotel reservation before and after your cruise, meaning you won’t need to check out or in again when you return. However, keep in mind that you’ll still be paying for the nights you’re at sea, since your resort room remains reserved for you the entire time. The biggest perk is a seamless transition, plus, you can leave anything you don’t need for the cruise safely in your room. If you have a rental car, you can even leave it parked at the resort while you sail, if you’re planning on taking
Disney Cruise Line transfers to the port.
That said, if you’d rather not pay for the unused nights, you might consider booking two separate reservations, one for before the cruise and another for after. Just know that this would require checking out before you leave and checking back in when you return (which could mean a room change).
And since your sailing is right around the holiday season, it sounds like you may be embarking on a
Very Merrytime Cruise...lucky you! I sailed on one last year aboard the Disney Wish, and it was absolutely magical. One of my favorite moments was the Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Grand Hall, where Mickey and his friends, dressed in their holiday best, help a very special guest (with a white beard and red hat) bring the season to life. With a sprinkle of pixie dust, the whole atrium twinkles with Christmas lights. It’s pure holiday magic at sea!
I hope this helps, Tashia! Wishing you a vacation filled with tropical breezes, festive fun, and pixie dust. “Sea” ya real soon!
