Hey Leeann,
Welcome to planDisney! My whole family participates in pin trading, and we’ve really enjoyed searching for pins throughout Walt Disney World Resort. I think you’re right that pin trading at the resorts adds a new way to explore everything the resorts have to offer!
There are a few activities that are offered by most resorts, like
campfires and
Movies Under the Stars. However, these activities take place in the evenings, so I’m not sure if you’ll be “resort-hopping” at that time. Some resorts offer
Enchanting Extras that can be booked in advance, such as the
Colors of Coronado Painting Experience and
Sangria University at Coronado Springs Resort.
If you are planning a “go-with-the-flow” kind of day, I recommend visiting the resorts you’d like to explore and finding the Resort Activities Guide near the Front Desk in the Resort Lobby. This guide will list the activities offered at the resort with important details like the days and times they are offered, as well as if there is a fee for the activity. If you don’t find an activity that interests you, you can still take time to look around while you find your next pin board. Watch animals from the lobby of
Animal Kingdom Lodge, find the five-legged goat in the mural in the Grand Canyon Concourse of
Contemporary Resort, and look for the hidden Mickey on the massive globe in the lobby of
Yacht Club Resort! There are so many wonderful details at the resorts and I think you’ll be pleased you had a relaxing day to notice and appreciate them.
Enjoy your visit to the Disney Resorts, Leeann. And good luck with pin trading! This year is the
25th Anniversary of Disney Pin Trading and I know there are some special pins out there celebrating the occasion! If you have any more questions, I’d love to help you
here at planDisney!
