How ya doin', Amanda, and welcome to planDisney!
So you've chosen your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you've snagged your park tickets, and now you've got another adventurer who wants to join the party? Well, you're in luck. As long as the room you've chosen isn't at max occupancy, you're allowed to add another Guest.
Booking a vacation package, which it sounds like you did, requires Guests included at the time of booking to also have theme park tickets. To add that extra Guest, you can try to change the reservation in the
My Disney Experience app by going to My Plans and choosing Change Reservation under your resort reservation. If the option isn't available that way because your reservation is part of a vacation package,
call the Cast Members at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and ask them to add them to the room reservation only. This may change the price a bit, but the Cast Member you speak to will be able to advise you on that change.
Pro-tip: Not heading into the parks is certainly not the end-all, be-all of a Walt Disney World Resort visit. Every resort has fantastic pools, resort hopping to visit delicious restaurants, and even a visit to
Disney Springs to shop the day away.
Amanda, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, just
come back and ask. You know where to find us!
Happy planning!
Taylor
