Hi Johnathon, and welcome to planDisney. I’m excited to hear that you’re visiting during the spookiest season when the grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite event at Disney World because
Magic Kingdom is BOO-tifully decorated for the occasion, and it’s so much fun to coordinate costumes with my friends!
The details haven’t been released yet for the 2025 party, but last year the tickets went on sale in May, so I’d keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more details. In the past,
Disney Resort hotel guests were able to purchase tickets a few days before the general public. This is a huge perk because the party sells out frightfully fast, especially for Halloween night!
Now the offerings can change, but let me share my tips and must-dos based on past parties. The event-exclusive entertainment is not to be missed! That’s the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, and Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular. The parade usually runs twice per night and I like to catch the second showing since it’s less crowded (and much easier to find a prime spot on Main Street, U.S.A.). The fireworks only run once a night, so make sure that you’re in front of
Cinderella Castle in time to see it.
Next, let’s talk photos! There are so many fun picture opportunities throughout the night. I love the party-exclusive
Magic Shots and Halloween props, which will be marked on the party map you’ll get when you arrive. As a Haunted Mansion fan, my favorite is the Magic Shot with the hitchhiking ghosts! There are also lots of rarer characters to meet, like Jack Skellington and Sally.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party is bursting with fun things to do and you can’t realistically fit in everything. I’d recommend getting to the party early to maximize your time (party guests can usually enter Magic Kingdom a few hours before the official start time) and picking a few priorities. I hope you have the spookiest time at Disney World in October. And be sure to hurry back to planDisney if you have any other questions before your trip. There’s always room for one more!
