When can I start buying tickets for January?I heard tickets for disneyland for January are cheaper and could be a good Christmas gift.

Hi there, Anael, and welcome to planDisney!

It's a pleasure to see you here and thanks for bringing your question to us. It would be my pleasure to help you plan a super fun trip to the Disneyland Resort! I can't think of a better way to ring in the New Year than by visiting the Happiest Place on Earth!

Anael, park reservations for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are released 180 days in advance for standard Theme Park Tickets, so technically, you could start buying tickets for your visit now! I just checked and reservations are open for the dates surrounding your visit. If you're planning on booking a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package, then you'll have to wait until those packages are released, which generally happens around late summer each year.

As far as pricing goes, I would recommend checking the Offers & Discounts page regularly to see if any discounts might apply to you. We never know when new discounts will be announced, so it's tough to predict what might happen next January. If you're intending for these to be a Christmas gift, you could consider purchasing a set amount on a Disney Gift Card. These are readily available on disneystore.com and can be delivered via email right away.

Anael, I hope that this was helpful in your planning and I wish you the best as you decide what to do. Please reach out to us again if you have any more questions. You're always welcome at planDisney and we'd love to hear from you!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
