I bought Disneyland tickets for the first time, are we allowed to enter the park on any good to go block out dates? How does that work? Because we choose a specific date to go and park to enter that day.

    Hello there, Diem!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for coming to us with your question. Congratulations on planning your first trip to the Disneyland Resort! I certainly hope that you enjoy visiting Walt Disney's original Park and find the magic that has charmed all of us into lifelong Disney fans!

When you purchase Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets on the Disneyland website, part of the process will have you selecting the dates of your visit. Upon selecting these dates and confirming your purchase, reservations will automatically be created for you. So under normal circumstances, if you were able to successfully create reservations and purchase a ticket for your date, you won't have to worry about blockout dates. You can easily double check on this by navigating to Theme Park Tickets & Reservations and clicking on "Make or Modify Park Reservations" to check on your currently held reservations. If you see your tickets with the correct dates and starting Park, you're all set! Unlike the Walt Disney World Resort, there are no good-to-go days where you are allowed to enter a Theme Park without a reservation, so you'll need to adhere to your reservation date or modify it to your intended date if you need to change.

When will you be visiting the Disneyland Resort, Diem? There's plenty to look forward to at the Happiest Place on Earth! Everyone's excited about the grand opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure this year as well as the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday this Halloween Season! There are so many changes and I love how they're constantly improving the Resort for future visitors.

Diem, I hope this information was helpful for you. Please write back to us anytime you have more questions and we hope to hear from you again in the future. I wish you a truly magical visit to the Disneyland Resort and we'll see ya real soon!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
