Welcome to planDisney, Christina! It sounds like you'll arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth soon, so let's talk about how you and your husband can experience some thrill rides!
I'm not sure what you mean by "stand in pass," so I'll go over a couple of ways to join attraction queues. If I miss the mark, I apologize in advance! Feel free to come back again, and I promise we will get to the bottom of your situation.
It sounds like your husband purchased a
Lightning Lane pass, either a Multi Pass for several attractions or a Single Pass for a specific ride. He can select return times in his My Disney Experience mobile app and
modify them there as well. Keep in mind that guests are purchasing before and after him, so availability for return windows can fluctuate.
If you are planning to wait in the regular standby queue for the same attraction that he has a Lightning Lane pass for, riding together could be tricky. Lightning Lane entrances are separate and often veer into a completely different queue. While you might luck up with your timing and be ready to board at the same time, you still might be in a different loading area, depending on the attraction.
If you have a different type of pass, such as the
Disability Access Service (DAS) pass, your odds of coordinating return times together are much better. You can look at available return windows in your apps, and remember that as long as your one-hour windows overlap, you should both be able to scan in together. I'm wishing on a star that this is the pass you're referring to!
You can also stop by any blue umbrella inside the theme parks for assistance. The
Guest Experience Team will be happy to troubleshoot with you to determine your best course of action. You might decide to purchase your own Lighting Lane pass so that the two of you can select the same time to ride.
My husband and I recently discovered the joy of using the
Single Rider Option when available.
Test Track at EPCOT is our favorite attraction for this strategy because we can wait in line together. We're almost always separated into different ride vehicles, but we've determined that riding together isn't a big deal to us. We can discuss our experiences afterward, and the wait times are usually substantially shorter.
Christina,
please submit your question again if I didn't address your situation. Here at
planDisney, we try to do everything we can to help you have a practically perfect visit! Thanks for stopping by, and have a magical time.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
