My son turns 3 next week and my family and I are trying to take a trip this week on may 1st would I still have to purchase a ticket for my almost 3 year old??

    Heigh-ho, Gina!

Welcome to planDisney! Your visit is a mere few days away. What a treat! I know you and your little Mouseketeer will have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time at The Happiest Place On Earth. And with Pixar Fest having just begun, it's going to be practically perfect in every way! I have two tiny tots myself, so I can already imagine them having a blast at the Pixar Pals Playtime Party at Fantasyland Theatre. Perhaps we'll run into each other there!

So Gina, every Disneyland Resort guest age three and older must purchase a theme park ticket and secure a theme park reservation to enter the parks. Little Mouseketeers under three years old do not require an admission ticket or a park reservation. I've been enjoying this perk with my little ones and my Magic Key pass for quite some time now.

Now, if you've booked a Vacation Package, the age of each member of your party is locked in for the duration of your visit. However, if you've booked individual tickets through the website, you'll only need to purchase admission for the days after your little prince turns three.

I'm sending lots of birthday wishes to your little birthday boy! Remember to pick up a Celebration Button for him at any of the retail stores you find at the resort!  If you have any further questions or would like more of my favorite tips, I'm all ears. Come on back to ask me another question now that you've got a friend in me!

A very merry unbirthday to you,
    Danielle
