Hello, Will Tianas Bayou Adventure in Disneyland have lap bars? I have a two year old who is very tall and will hit 40 inches when we go. I'm just worried he'll try to stand and fall off the giant hill. Thank you!

    Hey there, Halie!

Bienvenue chez planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you're as eager as a firefly on a summer night for the grand opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure at the Disneyland Resort. Seeing Disney evolve and feature characters like Tiana makes my heart leap. And I understand how much you're looking forward to sharing this attraction with your little prince. I've got my own little lightning bug of a two-year-old who's always buzzing with energy. Going down the bayou on this attraction with him will be a real dream come true. Representation matters so much. It's what turns dreamers into doers.

So, Halie, I'm excited to share what I know about this upcoming attraction. Those trusty old six-to-seven seater logs from Splash Mountain are sticking around with just a bit of a makeover. And since the ones at the California resort didn't have lap bars before, chances are they won't now, either. Safety first, but still keeping that old-school charm!

Have you checked out the magical storyline for this ride? It's pure magic! I can't wait to see Tiana and her crew in action! Be sure to keep up with Disney Parks Bog…oops, I mean Blog and Disneyland's official Instagram page for the latest scoop on the grand opening.

Now, Halie, I know your little guy will meet the height requirement for this adventure, but let's talk about whether he's ready for the thrills, especially if he's a little climber. If he's a fan of the film, you can all dine at Tiana's Palace in New Orleans Square together. It's like stepping right into the animated world, and I always run into Princess Tiana herself whenever I'm there. Another suggestion is to try him out on a ride like Pirates of the Caribbean. It's a water ride with no lap restraints where many people get splashed by the drops, but it's a milder version of what Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be. My little guy loves it, although a few months back, those drops were a tad too intense. But as he gets braver, I know that he's gettin' closer and closer every day to being ready for a bigger adventure!

I hope this information is helpful as you prepare for your visit, Halie. Who knows, maybe we'll bump into each other on the ride! I'm wishing you all the sweetness goin' 'round, and make sure to hop on back to me if you think of any more questions about visiting The Happiest Place On Earth.

    We're almost there!
