Hi Meshell! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
It makes me so happy to hear you had a wonderful experience as a family at the Walt Disney World Resort. The parks on both coasts are dedicated to being a welcoming and inclusive space for all Guests, providing appropriate accommodations and services to improve everyone's experience. It's one of the things that makes the parks so special. I've visited both parks with friends and family, who used different services available to them, and it made our trips incredibly easy. That's no small thing when life presents daily challenges.
I'm happy to report that much of what you experienced in Florida is similar to what you'll find in Disneyland Resort. However, every Guest and family's needs are unique, and you'll need to have an online chat with a helpful Cast Member to decide the right resources for your group. Your son may be eligible for
Disability Access Service (DAS), which is one of the services provided by Disneyland Resort. It's intended for Guests who can't tolerate a wait in a traditional queue. This online chat will determine eligibility and also address any of your concerns or questions about use.
In addition to DAS, you may find other resources or services incredibly useful. Please check out the thorough
Accessibility at the Disneyland Resort website. There's a special section on the website for Guests who are neurodivergent, which you'll want to take a look at. It has a guide with information about lightning and noise effects on Attractions that could help you plan your day. We used this critical information when choosing Attractions with my uncle, whose disabilities make him sensitive to loud noises.
Have a magical day!
Elizabeth
