When I set up my friends/ family list, I set it so my husband could manage his own plans. He is on my list but I’m wondering if this will now be an issue when booking lightening lines/dining etc? How can I change it so I now manage his plans

Hi Claire, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! The Family & Friends functionality makes it easy to make and modify plans for your whole crew. Let’s make sure you’re set up to do this seamlessly while you’re at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

It sounds like you invited your husband to create his own MyDisney account, which allows him to do things like book activities, make dining reservations, and place mobile food orders on his own. This actually gives you the most flexibility since now both of you can book Lightning Lane selections for each other, and add the other person to dining and hotel reservations.

To make sure you can modify each other’s plans, first, you need to be on each other’s Family & Friends List, which it sounds like you are. If not, click the Add a Guest button at the top right of your Family & Friends List. Here you can search by name and phone number or email to add the other person.

Once that’s done, each of you will need to log into your respective accounts and go to the Family & Friends List. Find the other person under Connections and click the Edit Settings button to the right of their name. Make sure the two toggles are on to allow them to view and modify all of your plans and to view your Disney PhotoPass photos. If you have other guests you manage, like any kids, you can also allow your husband to make plans for them by clicking the Connect My Managed Guests button.

I had a similar scenario where I used to manage my brother-in-law’s profile but invited him to create his own MyDisney account when he visited Disney World one time on his own. Since then we usually travel together and I’m always the one to make all of our reservations. Being connected through Family & Friends has always made it easy!

I’d recommend having your husband download the My Disney Experience app if he hasn’t already. It sounds like you’ll be handling most of the booking, but that’ll allow him to view what you’ve scheduled and help book or modify Lightning Lane selections or dining reservations. And it’s also handy for navigating the parks, previewing menus, and checking attraction wait times.

I hope you have a most magical visit to Disney World! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
