    1. I’ve called Disney world twice and was told check in for tent camping is 3:00 or 1:00. Which one is it? 2. I see information about the concrete pad at the tent camp sites. However, the tents will be put on the gravel. How large is the gravel pad?

    Hello Julie,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for trusting us with your question. I have done some more in-depth research to iron out these details. The Campsites at Fort Wilderness Resort is a perfect way to connect with nature while visiting “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Check-in at the Campsites is 3 P.M. after I spoke with a Cast Member to confirm. If you use your My Disney Experience App to check in, you can indicate that you would like an earlier time if available. Your app will notify you when your site is ready. The space available is 10 feet by 25 feet, and can fit a camper van style vehicle and 2 tents. The preferred campsite gives you some extra space at 10 feet by 45 feet.

The campsites are home to more than 90 of the Happiest Horses on Earth. Tri-Circle-D Ranch offers pony, wagon, and carriage rides. Or you can stop by just to say hi to the horses from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. daily. You can also catch the Electrical Water Pageant and should check the daily schedule. This is an iconic event that I enjoy every time I see it happening. A lot of families really enjoy the Chip ‘N’ Dales’s Campfire Sing-A-Long. You can roast marshmallows around a campfire with your loved ones and meet these two very popular chipmunks. Wait til you see their outfits!

Hopefully this is the information is helpful for planning your stay. Stop back again if you have any other questions before your stay.

    See ya real soon,
