Howdy, Bill, and welcome to planDisney! You’ve got a friend in me because I’m also a “Mature Mouseketeer” from Florida. As Woody would say to Buzz Lightyear, “Yee-haw!” Let’s look at your options for having a real hootenanny with your posse at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Anytime you’re online looking for Disney deals, be sure your Florida address is listed in the profile of your
My Disney Experience account. That way you’ll be able to see all ticket options for folks living in the Sunshine State. Like us!
Once you’re logged in, hover over the Tickets and Parks dropdown menu at the top of the
Walt Disney World Resort homepage and select "See Florida Resident Offers."
Many of the current deals are for multiple-day visits, so you might consider adding a magical day (or three!) to your trip. For example, I spotted a
Florida Resident Summer Ticket Offer that lets you visit two parks on two different days at a great price.
To purchase one-day Florida Resident tickets to Animal Kingdom, you’ll hover over Tickets and Parks and select Buy Theme Park Tickets. If you’re logged in as a resident, you’ll see an option to buy 1-, 3- or 4-Day Florida Resident Tickets. While prices are always subject to change, admission to Animal Kingdom on July 14 is currently listed at around $159 plus tax per adult guest.
When you purchase tickets online, you should see an option to verify your Florida residency during checkout. You can do that to save a little time, or wait and show your
valid proof of residency at the entrance to Animal Kingdom.
My final tip, especially if this is your first visit, is to call the
Tickets and Hotel Reservations line. There isn’t anything those Cast Members wouldn’t do for you! They can even help you set up an account if you don’t have one, and they’ll find the best available ticket deal based on your eligibility.
Bill, I hope you have a rootin’-tootin’ good time on your upcoming hoedown. Stop by
planDisney anytime; we’ll stick together and see you through!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
