Howdy Robin!
Welcome to planDisney. I’m excited to hear that you will soon be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. The Fall is one of my favorite times of the year to visit, as the weather is just right and there are so many amazing festivals and parties going on. Let’s get to your question, and I’ll share more about one of my favorites.
Although Disney doesn’t share specifics about its
Security Measures at the parks, in my experience, I don’t foresee any issues getting through security with your medically implanted device. Typically, you will walk through the screening area, and if, for some reason, they need additional screening, they will ask you to step aside and usually use one of their metal-detecting wands to verify. I would go ahead and carry the device card that you use at the airport, though, just in case you need it. The security guards see thousands of guests per day, and I’m sure many have medically implanted devices. You can also call
Guest Services if you have any further questions or concerns about getting through security.
The
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is one you will absolutely have to experience. Here, you can embark on a culinary adventure across 6 continents, sampling unique foods, drinks, and desserts at kiosks throughout the World Showcase. You can also experience the Eat to the Beat Concert series with performers you know and love. The great thing about this event is that no additional ticket is needed.
Robin, I sincerely hope your family has a magical time at Walt Disney World. Please stop back by anytime with more questions, and my fellow panelist and I will be happy to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
