Hi, What room class should I buy if I want to see fireworks from the Disneyland hotel? Not club level- only from the room. Thanks

Hi Margaret! Welcome back to planDisney! There’s just something special about staying at the Disneyland Hotel (that blend of classic Disney nostalgia and relaxed vibe gets me every time), and pairing that with a fireworks view can turn a great stay into something truly memorable.

If watching the fireworks right from your room is your goal (without going Club Level), your best option is to book a Premium Downtown Disney View room. These rooms generally offer the clearest sightlines toward Disneyland, giving you the best chance to catch the nighttime spectacular lighting up the sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle. While views can never be 100% guaranteed, this room category consistently gives you the strongest opportunity.

When you arrive, I recommend kindly mentioning to the Cast Member at check-in that a fireworks view is important to you. While requests aren’t guaranteed, they’ll absolutely do their best to place you in a room with the most favorable angle available. It’s a small step that can make a big difference when you’re hoping to end your night with that iconic burst of color in the sky (and maybe even hear a bit of the music drifting over from Disneyland).

As a backup plan (or even just a fun bonus experience), you might consider heading over to the Pixar Place Hotel one evening. The pool deck is open to all guests and offers a relaxed, elevated viewing area where the fireworks music is piped in. It’s a completely different vibe from being inside the park, (it’s more laid-back, with space to stretch out), and it can be a great option if you want to avoid the end-of-night crowds on Main Street, U.S.A. Plus, the Pixar Shorts Court up there adds a playful touch, especially if you want something to do while waiting for the show to begin.

One important tip as you plan: fireworks aren’t scheduled every night, especially during less busy seasons. Be sure to check the Disneyland app under the Entertainment tab as your trip approaches. That section will have the most up-to-date schedule, and while you’re there, you can also keep an eye on attraction wait times, mobile order a treat from places like Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, or map out your evening so you can time your return to the hotel just right.

Margaret, you’re setting yourself up for a wonderful stay filled with those quiet, magical moments that happen when the parks wind down and the sky lights up. If you have any more questions as you count down to your visit, we at planDisney are always here to help.

Wishing you a cozy room with a perfect view, and a night where the fireworks feel like they’re just for you.
