Can you ride the skyway without a park pass? Would love to check out some resorts on our day off. Also can you go to the Espn center when there isn't an event happening? My daughter would like a picture with the globe. Thanks

    Hi Brandi,

Welcome back to planDisney! I am excited to see you utilizing our expertise for your upcoming vacation and I hope that we have helped you to make it as magical as possible.

The Disney Skyliner is one of the coolest rides at Walt Disney World even though it is technically just transportation. You do not need a theme park ticket to ride the gondolas and it is a perfect activity for a resort day. The easiest way to jump on the Disney Skyliner and hop between resorts for a day of exploring is to take the bus from your resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios and catch the Skyliner there.

I recommend starting your day with breakfast at Topolino's Terrace located at Disney's Riviera Resort on the Skyliner loop. It is the best character breakfast because it features all of your favorite classic Disney characters in their Parisian artistic costumes. The food is delicious and after breakfast, you can hang out in the courtyard at the Riviera Resort playing garden chess or bocce ball.

I also recommend taking a monorail tour of the Polynesian Village Resort, Contemporary Resort, and Grand Floridian Resort. These resort hotels have some of my favorite shopping locations and the Grand Floridian Resort features a spa that has decadent manicures, pedicures, and massages that are the perfect activity for a relaxing resort day. You can also get the coveted Dole Whip at the Polynesian Village Resort or visit my favorite coffee shop in Disney World, Kona Island

If your daughter is set on that globe picture, remember that there is no complimentary transportation to ESPN Wide World of Sports from any of the resort hotels. The best way to get there is by utilizing a ride-share service. If there is an event happening, you will be required to buy an entrance ticket. If an event is not scheduled on the day that you visit, you can look around for free.

    Happy Planning
