Hi there Isela,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! It looks like you have your trip to the Disneyland Resort coming up in just a couple of days - it'll be here before you know it!
Currently, to enter one of the parks of the Happiest Place on Earth, you need both valid
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit. When you purchase your tickets, it will have you type the name of the ticketholder, as it sounds like you're seeing. However, tickets are not locked into being used by a Guest until they are scanned for the first time to enter a park.
The names you set for your tickets at the point of purchase are more to help you keep them organized, but as long as the ticket has not been used previously then you could redistribute that ticket to a new member of your visiting party if needed.
Once that ticket is scanned for entry for the first time, it then must be used by that same Guest for its duration. There is a quick picture that is taken and associated with the ticket, which is what then is used to confirm entry for the remainder of the ticket's duration.
There are a bunch of fun things happening around the Happiest Place on Earth at the moment, but what I'm most excited about is meeting some of my
all-time favorite Star Wars characters in Galaxy's Edge! Take a look through the
Disney Parks Blog for all the updates.
Thanks again for your question, Isela! I hope you have a fantastic visit to the Disneyland Resort.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
