Hi Chana! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
If mobility is an issue,
renting a mobility device while visiting the parks is an incredible convenience. I've temporarily needed a wheelchair, so I could continue to enjoy my trip, and renting a manual wheelchair that my husband could push really saved our vacation. These rentals can be found near the entrance to Disneyland Park. It's best to arrive in the morning, as rentals are subject to availability, and on popular days, it is possible they could be all rented out.
You can rent a wheelchair for the day and use it in the parks and the Downtown Disney District. In addition to the current cost, you'll also need to make a small deposit, which is refundable. According to the current rental terms, the maximum weight for a wheelchair is 350 pounds, and wheelchairs are intended to hold only one person. Additionally, I spoke with a Cast Member who indicated the renter must be 18 years old, so that might be something to consider.
I hope you also check out the useful information for Guests with
mobility issues. There are helpful services and access options available to facilitate your magical trip, as the Disneyland Resort is dedicated to being a welcoming and inclusive destination for all Guests. For example, you can see ahead of your visit which Attractions require that Guests walk by themselves, and which can accommodate wheelchair use. While knowing ahead of time can make for a smoother day, also feel free to speak to any helpful Cast Member if you have questions about accessing the parks during your visit.
Your visit is almost here! Take a peek at the
Daily Events Calendar to start planning your must-do activities. This helpful schedule includes information on entertainment, parades, fireworks, and planned refurbishments. While these details are subject to change and cancellation, it's a good place to start!
I hope this helps.
