    Can you rent or buy extra points for a vacation?

    Hello there Thomas, welcome to planDisney! 

    Thanks so much for bringing your Disney Vacation Club question here today, I'm happy to assist!

    When my family purchased our first Disney Vacation Club contract twelve years ago, we figured we had purchased enough Vacation Points for the type of travel and size of accommodations we wanted. Fast forward to today: we have two more children and like to travel more frequently meaning our Points get used and we end up borrowing Points. We haven't purchased One-Time-Use Points yet but this is a great option for Disney Vacation Club Members who are just a few Points short of a magical Disney Vacation Club stay. 

    If you find yourself in the same situation and need a few more Points in order to make your dream reservation, you'll be happy to know that Disney Vacation Club Members can purchase up to 24 One-Time-Use Points every Use Year. These Vacation Points cost $20/Point (price is subject to change). 

    There are a few rules about the purchased Vacation Points:

    • They must be purchased when the reservation is made (please phone Member Services for assistance).
    • One-Time-Use Points can only be used in the 7-month booking window - you cannot apply them to a Reservation at a Home Resort in the priority window (7-11 months)
    • Once these One-Time-Use Points have been purchased, they will expire at the end of the Use Year. They are non-refundable and cannot be banked, borrowed or transferred.
