Hi there, Donna--and Welcome Home to the Disney Vacation Club corner of planDisney. It's always a pleasure to meet a fellow DVC Member, and I'm happy to help with your vacation planning question.
Your query feels very familiar to me, as I always check and double-check the deadlines for using our Vacation Points. The first order of business anytime you're dealing with banking or borrowing points: remember that points can only be moved one time. This means that once you bank or borrow into another Use Year, they have to be used or they will expire.
Donna, I'm not sure whether the Vacation Points you're referring to in your question were banked into October 2023, or if they are points from your October 2023 Use Year that you banked into your 2024 Use Year. To cover all of the bases, here are the details for both scenarios:
- If the points were banked into your 2023 Use Year, which began on October 1, 2023, they will expire on September 30, 2024.
- Points banked into your 2024 Use Year must be used by September 30, 2025.
When in doubt, you've got a friend in the helpful folks at
Member Services. They can bring up all of the specific details of your Membership and the status of your Vacation Points, and complete a reservation so you can use those banked points for a fun-filled vacation. We have some exciting new options with
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort opening soon, and
Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows scheduled to open its doors in December.
I hope this info is helpful, Donna--thanks so much for visiting planDisney! If you have any other questions about your Membership or other aspects of Disney Vacation Club, don't hesitate to reach out again. We're always here to help!
Stay Magical!
Susan
