Hi Amanda Jane!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'd love to help you learn the ins and outs of Disney's
Disability Access Service (DAS) at Walt Disney World Resort!
The folks at Walt Disney World have a big heart for making sure every guest gets to experience the magic of their theme parks. DAS is their way of providing a little extra magic for those who might find the usual wait times a bit challenging due to disabilities. I understand the difference it makes – it's been very helpful for my family too, making sure the fun is for everyone, with no exceptions.
To get set up for DAS, Disney makes it super simple to chat with a Cast Member via a live video call. Guests can start this chat as early as 30 days before their vacation begins, as long as it's at least 2 days before arrival. Unfortunately, though – this pre-arrival chat isn't available outside the U.S., so that's a step you'll have to save for when you arrive in the States.
No worries – getting your DAS at the parks is as smooth as a ride on Aladdin's magic carpet. Just stop by
Guest Relations on your first theme park visit, and the amazing team there will guide you through the process. Once you're approved for DAS, you can use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to pick your attractions, making your Disney days easy to navigate. Your DAS is good for 60 days, so there's plenty of time to soak up all the Disney magic!
I hope this helps with your plans and preparations for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Please come back and visit us here at planDisney if you have more questions - we're happy to help!
