RRIINNGG! That's the sound of Mickey calling to welcome you to planDisney, Kimberly! Thanks for stopping by with this great question, so let's answer the call and talk about registering for
Disability Access Service (DAS) on your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit.
I'm happy to let you know that you can register for
DAS pre-arrival via video chat online or on the My Disney Experience mobile app. On the app, tap the three lines in the bottom right and scroll near the bottom to select "Accessibility & Health Services." Scroll near the bottom of the next screen and tap "Learn More" under Disability Access Service.
You can review information about the service, and when you're ready, tap the blue link under "Step 1: Register" to begin the pre-registration process. Look for the blue "Request Live Video Chat" button when you're ready to start the call. Remember that the guest requesting DAS service must be available to take a photo during the call, but another person can also be present.
Guests can
pre-register from 2-30 days before arrival, so you are within that window and can pre-register anytime. If you decide to wait until you're onsite, you can register for DAS at any
Guest Relations location at the theme parks.
I love the new
DAS Advance Selections option. Once you've pre-registered for the service, you can select up to two attractions in advance. After you're in the park, you can use the
self-selection tool to choose additional attractions to experience in the mobile app. The guest with DAS can add up to five guests for each experience, so I'm sure your party will have a blast!
If you plan to spend time at EPCOT, I hope you hop aboard
Living with the Land. I love floating through the gardens where much of the food prepared at the parks is grown. And remember to look up near the beginning of the ride; you might catch a glimpse of guests at Garden Grill Restaurant as they dine with Farmer Mickey!
Kimberly, I hope your visit next month is practically perfect! Please
stop by planDisney anytime. When you call, we'll be there!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
