Do we need to have purchased tickets to pre register for DAS?

Welcome to planDisney, Tori, and thanks for this great question. Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is getting closer and closer every day, so let's talk about Disability Access Service (DAS) and how advance registration works.

You can pre-register for DAS Advance from 30 to two days before arrival, and it looks like you will be within that window soon. Maybe by the time you read this answer! The guest applying for DAS service must have a valid theme park ticket at the time of the video chat, but the rest of the party will not need tickets at that time. Remember that the guest requesting the service must be available during the call for a photo, but another family member is welcome to be present during the interview.

When you're ready to do the pre-arrival registration, click "Request Live Video Chat" near the bottom of the Registration information page. You will also have the option to use DAS Advance Planning to pre-select up to two one-hour return windows for eligible attractions. My tip is to prioritize a few options before you call because these will be subject to availability.

Once your party has theme park tickets and is linked through Family & Friends in My Disney Experience, up to five additional guests can accompany the guest with DAS on their selected attractions throughout the day. If you have more guests in your party, they can take turns because you don't have to choose the same guests for every attraction.

My final tip is to have any questions written down before your video chat. The friendly Cast Members will be happy to answer them or offer clarification on the process. I also suggest reviewing online material for tips that might help your visit be even more magical.

You'll be visiting during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, so I hope you stop by to enjoy the topiaries and Outdoor Kitchens. I can't wait to have the Avocado Toast at Brunchcot! It's plant-based and looks fantastic this year.

Tori, I hope DAS registration goes smoothly. You and your group are going to make some magical memories! Please feel free to stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
