What does the red light mean on my magic band plus

    Hey there, Michael!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with an excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm thrilled to hear you'll be heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a short couple of days! Before you pack your bags and snap on that MagicBand+, let's chat about the light patterns of these handy bands.

Michael, with MagicBand+, you'll be able to experience all of the fun surprises hidden throughout the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and interact with nighttime spectaculars in a dazzling way! If you're seeing a flashing red light on your MagicBand+, it likely means that the battery power has been depleted. You should charge the band overnight to replenish its battery power (and pixie dust!) before using it in the theme parks again. While your band is on the charger, the face will slowly illuminate either red, yellow, or green (depicting the battery level). After charging overnight, the circle surrounding the face should glow completely green, indicating a fully charged battery! While the critical RFID features of your MagicBand+ will still function despite no battery power, your band won't illuminate or vibrate until it's charged. If your MagicBand+ is paired to your device in the My Disney Experience mobile app, you can check your band's battery level by navigating to "MagicBands and More!"

To maximize the effectiveness of your MagicBand+, I recommend always ensuring your band has the latest software updates downloaded and you're using the most current version of the My Disney Experience mobile app, Michael. If you still have questions about your band, consider referring to the MagicBand+ Support page on the Walt Disney World Resort website or reaching out to the experts at the My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ phone line for additional assistance.

Michael, I hope you've found these suggestions helpful as you gear up for a thrilling Walt Disney World Resort adventure! If you have any more planning questions, you're always welcome to revisit us at planDisney. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
