I read a posts today claiming guests must have a dining, activity, or resort reservation to ride complimentary buses from Disney Springs to a WDW resort. Do you know when this will go into effect?

Hey there, Nicole! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us.

It looks like your Walt Disney World adventure is right around the corner. Woo hoo! You’ll be immersed in a world of magic and enjoying all the Mickey-shaped treats your heart desires in no time at all.

You are correct that guests boarding Disney Resort hotel buses and the Sassagoula River water taxi from Disney Springs will be asked to show a valid Disney Resort hotel room key, dining reservation, or experience reservation for the resort they are visiting. This is scheduled to begin June 28th, 2026. If you have any questions about this transportation rule change, don’t hesitate to chat with a friendly Cast Member at Disney Springs or call the Non-Reservation Support phone line.

With so much happening at Walt Disney World this summer, you’ve picked an awesome time to visit. New attractions are making their debut, beloved rides are returning from refurbishment, and fun events like dance parties and themed photo ops are planned for the theme parks and Disney Springs. You can find all the info about Cool Kids’ Summer here

I hope this information is helpful, Nicole. Pop right back if you have any other vacation planning questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
