Does port orleans French quarter have a boat to Disney springs

    Hi Kenneth,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question about transportation from the Port Orleans Resort -- French Quarter to Disney Springs.

One of the many reasons my family enjoys staying at this resort is the relaxing water taxi service to Disney Springs. You can board the boat at the dock at the end of Jazz Alley (in the center of the resort) and spend about 20 minutes sailing down the Sassagoula River, past the Saratoga Springs resort, to the Marketplace area of Disney Springs. The boats depart about every 20 minutes.

Once you arrive at Disney Springs, you can spend time shopping at the specialty stores, dining at some of the scrumptious table service restaurants,  snacking through the quick serve locations or enjoying entertainment along the waterfront.

My family is always focused on the food. We think the Polite Pig and eet by Maneet Chauhan are among the best quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World, and we love Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar for a light bite and an adult beverage. Morimoto Asia, The Boathouse, Wine Bar George and Jaleo are where we turn for a special sit-down meal. And don't miss the gelato at only U.S. location of Vivoli. (The other is in Florence, Italy.)

When you are ready to return to the French Quarter, you can sail back up the river or hop onto a bus that will deliver you to the front of the main lobby of the resort.

Please check in with us any time, Kenneth, if you have more questions about navigating the Walt Disney World resort or about things to do during your vacation.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
