    I have a question about getting married at Disney! Do I have to choose Disney music to walk down the aisle for my wedding?

    Hi there Rachel and welcome back to planDisney!

    It's so great to have future DisBrides and Grooms come to us for our best research advice for these incredible celebrations planned through Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, and it looks like you've already gotten some great tips from fellow Disney Bride and planDisney Panelist Kay! As a Disney Groom who recently got married here at Walt Disney World Resort myself, I definitely took every opportunity that I could to customize the music for our big day - which even included our entrance music walking down the aisle - and am glad to lend a bit of my personal experience as well as my Disney Wedding knowledge from my years of research:

    • Depending on your Ceremony Venue, you'll have access to certain kinds of ceremony musicians which vary depending on whether the location is adjacent to guest rooms like the Marina Patio & Terrace at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or in a special theme park location with specific restrictions like the Tree of Life. Some of the most breathtakingly beautiful ceremony sounds have included solo guitarists or violinists playing music that isn't necessarily from the Disney repertoire.
    • For our ceremony at Disney's Wedding Pavilion, our guests were treated to the sounds of the brilliantly talented Disney organist Adam who was able to seamlessly transition between Disney classics and tunes from films as well as our favorite rides and attractions. I actually requested a selection of Star Wars music which even included the main theme to The Mandalorian by Ludwig Göransson which he was able to replicate with the variety of sounds from the organ!
    • The thing to keep in mind with any specific song requests is that you'll be responsible for either procuring the sheet music for each particular song and instrument for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings team to provide to your musicians. (You may be lucky like we were to discover that the Entertainment team already had these available for the songs we wanted, so we didn't need to track them down!)
    • Alternatively, locations that are able to have amplified music may allow you to option to send or upload music tracks directly to a link provided by your Disney Wedding planning team for the audio technician Cast Member to play on the day, but I also recommend having this handy to bring on the day of your rehearsal just in case.
