Hiya Rachel, Welcome to planDisney! As a Disney Bride I am thrilled you brought your question to us and know how important keeping tradition is! Your wedding at
Walt Disney World Resort will truly be magical!
I have to say that Carrie's podcast and Wedding Guide was an absolute life saver! Both the podcast and wedding guide were a great starting point for me. And that is correct, the
Disney Fairy Tale Wedding's Team understands the cost associated with any wedding and allows future brides and grooms to use outside vendors for bouquets, linens, chairs, lighting, and other décor. While planning our wedding, we learned that no outside food or cake is allowed, but Disney makes exceptions for certain dietary restrictions they can’t accommodate.
Your Disney Wedding Specialist will send you an Outside Vendor Requirement guidebook, along with an Outside Vendor Agreement. Each of your vendors must e-sign and return a copy of the agreement.
My husband is from Belize and I am from Jamaica, West Indies so jumping the broom was a very important tradition for us to keep. Disney will not provide a broom but you are able to use an outside vendor and bring one in. I was lucky enough to have my sister (and maid of honor) make ours but during my search, I saw a few gorgeous cultured ones on Etsy. It's heartwarming that you and your partner will be keeping this tradition alive.
Rachel, I hope you find this information helpful. Please feel free to
reach out to me directly with any other wedding questions or advice! I'm wishing you and your partner a happily ever after, to infinity and beyond!
Kay
