Welcome to planDisney, Richard!
It sounds like you've successfully
linked MagicBands to your account, which will certainly come in handy on your next visit. I love using mine to enter the parks, scan into Lightning Lane queues with the purchase of Lightning Lane Passes, and quickly link photos captured by
Disney PhotoPass photographers around the parks. My MagicBand+ also saves me from digging through my park bag for my wallet every time I want to make a purchase. With just a quick tap of my band at the checkout counter, my charges are billed to the card on file for my Disney Resort hotel room without delay. Quick, convenient, and pretty magical if you ask me!
If you are looking to change the email address associated with your My Disney Experience account, you can do so by logging in to your Family & Friends list online.
Head to this website, hover over "My Disney Experience" on the menu header, and click "
My Family & Friends." Click "Account Settings" below your name and character photo on the left menu bar, then click the button to "Manage MyDisney Account," which links your profile across Disney+, the parks, and Disney Cruise Line. You may be prompted to sign in again before clicking the edit arrow next to your current email address. Once you attempt to edit, you'll be sent a 6-digit verification code, which you'll need to retrieve from your email address and enter on the website before making changes.
If you are looking to update the email address for a member of your travel group, locate their name on your Family & Friends list, then click "Manage" next to their name. If you manage their profile and make plans on their behalf, you should see the option to "Invite (X) to Sign in and Plan on Their Own." Click that and enter their current email address, which will trigger an invitation they'll need to accept. Once they do, they'll have access to plan with you, and any tickets, MagicBands, and plans you've made for them should be visible on their end.
However, if you are looking to update email addresses for multiple members of your Family & Friends list or if I've misunderstood your request, it might be best to leave the technical details to the experts. I recommend
reaching out to a Cast Member on the App and MagicBand Support team by phone for further assistance. This way, they can ensure nothing gets duplicated or deleted, which could affect your ability to link your travel partners to your resort room, dining reservations, or Lightning Lane plans.
If you are already on-site at Walt Disney World Resort, a stop at
Guest Relations located near the entrance of each park or a visit with the
Guest Experience Team stationed under blue umbrellas throughout the parks would prove equally smart. They'll be able to review details of your account in real time and help answer any questions I may have misinterpreted.
Richard, I hope you're able to get everyone assigned to the correct contact information. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
