Welcome to planDisney, Mary!
Oh bother! (To quote our pal Winnie.) I am so sorry to hear that you linked both bands to one account. I imagine this was not on your magical list of things to do before you arrive!
Mary, I am sad to report that once a MagicBand or
MagicBand+ is linked to an account, you will not be able to
transfer it to another Guest. The MagicBand becomes tied to all the tickets and benefits that the individual Guest has on their account. If the MagicBand has not been used, I recommend
reaching out to the App and MagicBand Support team by phone. Because this was an error, they may be able to help.
If the MagicBand is unable to be transferred, you still have options! You could purchase a new MagicBand+ for yourself, and your daughter will be able to use both of the current bands on your trip. (Who doesn't love extra accessories?) You can
deactivate one and activate the other in
the My Disney Experience app in moments. If another MagicBand is not an option, you can use
Disney MagicMobile Service throughout your stay. You can use MagicMobile to enter the parks, access Lightning Lanes and PhotoPass images, and more, all with the tap of your phone! If you prefer to keep your phone out of site duing your stay, you can get a Key to the World card from the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel, or at
any Guest Services location. Tap your card to open your Disney Resort hotel room, enter the parks, use your Lightning Lanes, and more. I hope these tips help keep your planning on track!
We'll see ya real soon!
